    Now Playing: Movies

I saw Juno last night.  Highly recommend it.  One of the best I've seen in awhile.

Bang your head.  Metal health will drive you mad.

I watched Danny Boyle's (28 days later), Sunshine last night-visually arresting, superbly acted, but the last few minutes of the plot has no explnation (why is he there? why did he go insane? why is he sabotaging the mission?)

    still-great flick

I'm tellin' you, if you wanna see a movie with a strange ending, rent Jindabyne.  It's a fairly creepy little flick that's very well acted, but it has thee most head-scratching endings I've seen in 10yrs.

I'm really looking forward to seeing that.

Watched Rescue Dawn over the weekend and really enjoyed it. Although I hear the story told in the film completely contradicts what happened in real life. But once again, Christian Bale puts on a fantastic performance, and Steve Zahn wasn't too shabby neither.

Saw the old Peter Sellers movie, Being There. I really like Peter Sellers, but damn that movie was kind of boring.

Saw Shoot 'Em Up. FUCK YES. THAT'S HOW YOU DO A CHEESY ACTION MOVIE! I was laughing my ass of the whole damn time, and the action was fucking great. What a ridiculous (in a good way) movie.

Other than that, just been watching Fresh Prince of Bel Air DVDs.

I watched a movie last night called Undead Or Alive.  It's a Western.  It's about zombies.  It stars Chris Kattan.  It's terrible.

i saw it at blockbuster. the cover alone made me laugh. Chris Kattan cannot be taken seroiusly. for example... his character in the remade house on haunted hill. what a joke.

It's a well-known fact that I will watch anything with zombies in it...no matter how terrible.

I'm right there with you.  Zombies rule.  I wasn't exactly blown away by this one, though...  It has its moments, but for the most part, at best, it's one to watch with a six-pack and low, low expectations...  It's no Flight Of The Living Dead.

They're aren't too many zombie films that qualify as "good". Heh.

So has anyone seen The Orphanage yet?  I've heard from three people:  One thought it was shit, one thought it was awful because it was too scary, and one had no real comments to make about it.  I can't judge from that whether I'd like it, because I love scary movies, but the one that thought it was shit does too.  As for the third, having no real opinion about a movie is never a good thing.

I love the liquid inside people.  I'm an eight-foot spider wearing a disposable diaper, man, I'm insane!

It was my film of 2007. It's kind of required watching up here, because the Canadian media's going ga-ga all over it. A nation's hearts get crushed every time Ellen Page misses Best Acress honours.

I watched a rancid turd last night called Eagle vs. Shark. I was tricked into thinking it might be at least somewhat good since the dude from Flight of the Conchords was in it. Nope.... a cheap attempt at a Wes Anderson meets Napolean Dynamite comedy. I mean...I guess there was a scene here and there where I cracked a smile, but overall it made me feel like I just ate a box of uncooked ziti.
