I think if I had to pick and album that I thought needed a good remastering job....

At this point in time...I'd have to choose Faith No More's "the real thing". Naturally, I'm a huge FNM fan, but if I've been listening to a bunch of other stuff during the day and then throw this on...it just sounds so thin sometimes. I think it would benefit from some beefing up. Don't change anything, just raise the levels on everything. Ya know, another thing to...with all the remastering that goes on these days, I'm really surprised that they haven't gone back and remastered any of the old Anthrax albums. Not saying that they need it, they just seem like a band that would do something like that.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled, was proving to the world that he didn't exist.

I'd go with Suffocation's Breeding The Spawn, which really needs to just be re-everythinged.

    The silence is deafening...

Without question, Carcass-Reek Of Putrefaction. The most crippling production I've ever heard.

I really think "The Real Thing" sounds really good considering it's as old as I am and never been remastered or remixed or anything. And I can't really think of an album that needs one... Loveless?

You fuckers think just because a guy reads comics he can't start some shit?

Seconded, except that, on one level, the awful production is part of the aesthetic.  That said, I don't like it.

Bang your head.  Metal health will drive you mad.

This is true. I tend to ignore that one when listening to Suffo.

I don't really agree with this, not for the versions that I have at least. I can hear all instruments clearly.

Death - Human is my pick

    The New Order.

Yep, and maybe Practice too.  Lots of old thrash albums could just use a cleaning up.  Don't necessarily change the sound of the albums, just get rid of the mud.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

One album that comes to mind is Helmet - Strap it On. Imagine "Meantime" production on that bitch.

Also, Lamb of God - As The Palaces Burn. That could use some beefing up.

Ok..so...What if St. Anger had a sweet ear candy production? (With great sounding drums) What would you guys think of that album then?

"But what does it mean, Dad?"

"It means our financial situation is turning around. It means things are looking upward. Literally, the shit is pointing out of the pot! Towards Heaven, to God. My turd is a direct communication from the Holy Father."

    Never heard it.

Agree but its not too bad. Just a few areas to improve.

It would still suck. Possibly even more then it currently does (a paradox if there ever was one).
