Dave Mustaine Flips Out

I wasn't surprised to see this article:

When I saw Megadeth last Friday here in Minnesota, midway through their set, a kid threw a tshirt up at Dave that flopped over his guitar as he was playing. He just shook it off and I didn't even hear a flub in his playing. They finished the song and then he went on his rant: (not the exact quote, but very close)

"If any of you throw anything up here again, I'm going to turn around and go right back into that dressing room."

"Who threw that up here?"  *begins looking through crowd*

"Why don't you throw something at me now, in front of my face, you little pussy!"

"I'll fucking kick the shit out of you!"

*someone pointed the kid out and Dave flipped him off while making a fart sound with the lips*

They proceeded to play the next song, then afterwards another rant.

"I just fucking HATE saying that, but there's always at least one fucking idiot at each show."

"That's ok, I know you all will take care of him..."

I've never been to a show where anyone has thrown shit onstage. 

Maybe Dave needs to realize that his behavior is egging 'em on, eh?

My buddy saw David Allan Coe back in the mid-90s at a festival here in town.  Some drunk guy was heckling Coe, and between lines, Coe would back off the mic and shout at the guy about how dude was going to get his ass kicked after the show.

After the show, Coe's band came out and kicked dude's ass.

The cops took the guy off in a golf cart.

I love that story.

Coe is insane.

It was just a bloomin t-shirt.  I don't know what it's like on the otherside of the Atlantic but that's feckin lame. 

Then again, knowing what it's like on the otherside of the Atlantic, he could've been shot.

But seriously, Dave, you're one of my heroes, but you need SERIOUS MENTAL HELP!  The guy is nutso-facto.

Yeah, maybe I should have clarified my opinion.  Flipping out for having shit thrown on stage is justified.  But independent of that, Dave needs serious help, he's a crazy.

 I was at that show too. I thought Dave took it a little to far. Its a fucking Megaseth show, there's gonna be some  idiots there.

Sidenote: i was videotaping the show with my digital camera and got busted by security. They took my camera and brought me outside, surrounding me with intimidating security guards. They told me they were going to take my sim card from my camera. I asked if i could just delete the footage, they said that Megadeth would review the footage and return the sim card to me. What a load of shit. The guy had a pocket full of sim cards, guranteed he just tossed 'em. Bullshit. Does anyone know if its the clubs policy, or individual bands that make these policys?

This tour is Mustaine's baby.  He sets the rules.  Our photographer had strict rules not to use a flash and to only take photos during the first 3-4 songs.  He followed the rules and still got yelled at by Mustaine's Manager. 

 Yeah, I honestly feel bad for Mr. Mustaine and all of the flak he has been catching for years and years, but I guess it's possible that people are just doing it to try to get a reaction, and once they get one, it encourages them to do more.  Like a circular thing.  Regardless, I think it would be tough for me not to get mad in the same situation.

I've heard lots of stories...

NIN drummer got hit by a shoe and broke his nose I believe...  even with all of the blood, he still finished the song.

Nickleback had Europeans throw rocks at them - and they walked off stage.

When I saw Metallica, a dude threw his coat over Newstead's head.  He got pissed and walked away, but didn't say anything.
