    Tours you totally regret missing

Listening to Sick of it All, and it made me think of some tours that I really regret missing:

Iron Maiden with either Halford and Queensryche or Motorhead and Dio

Slayer, Sick of it All, Meshuggah

    Anyone else?

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

Now that Neurosis has kind of parked their tourbus, I really regret missing them if they ever came through Ohio at any time. I'm sure they did, and I never got to see them. Be that as it may, they are still one of my favs.

Also, now that their music is newly fresh in my mind, I've never seen Testament live. Bummer for me.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled, was proving to the world that he didn't exist.

I would've loved to have seen the Anthrax/Megadeth/Slayer tour back in the day.

I saw that Maiden/Motorhead/Dio show and it was killer.  I also somewhat regret never having seen Alice In Chains, back in their heyday.  And I had the opportunity to see Mitch Hedberg about a week before he died and I didn't go, and that sucks, too.

Bang your head.  Metal health will drive you mad.

I regret not seeing Paradise Lost on tour after their Gothic album.  At that point I'd never heard of them and went to see Cancer who were playing the night before.  Some music was playing before the bands came on and I heard this awesome slow, heavy as fuck song, I said 'who the hell is this' and some dude said 'Paradise Lost, they're playing here tomorrow'.  Unfortunately I'd spent all my money travelling to this gig so it was a no-go.

A mighty wind did pull me
    Tore at my face
My flesh is raped at his hand
    I am the world's disgrace

Missed Wolves in the Throne Room a couple months ago due to a brainfart, kicked myself for awhile after that one.

I missed them on a recent tour, too. A friend of mine went, and said they were amazing. To make matters worse, he returned with a WitTR hoodie, so I'm reminded of missing it every time I see him in it.

Also, I skipped out on going from Cincy to Pittsburgh to see The Gathering when they were opening up for Lacuna Coil, mostly because I didn't want a short set from The Gathering and Lacuna blows.  Two weeks later Anneke announced she was leaving, I about lost it.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

Yeah one of the big bands that I have always wanted to see, but just never got around to, was Testament.  That hurts.

I had the privilege of seeing the great Mitch Hedberg live twice, one of them a headlining set.  Both shows were phenomenal, two of the funnier nights I can recall in my entire life.

Opeth was about 20 minutes from my house performing last night.... and I didn't make it out there.

That is truly fucked up man.

Although not metal, I would love to have a time machine and go back and see Pink Floyd.

I don't want to go into details, becuase the wounds haven't healed, but I've missed seeing Trouble twice.  Once was their fault and once was Powerman 5000's fault.

Summer Slaughter last year.  I hope to rectify the situation by attending this year's.

I was once bored to tears for forty-five solid minutes at Ozzfest, and this was also Powerman 5000's fault.
